By equipping its 115 hp and 140 hp inline 4-cylinder units with its proven electronic control technology, Suzuki offers a simplified assembly to a wide range of shipbuilders, as well as extremely smooth gearshifts, optimal responsiveness to acceleration. , increased performance and better fuel efficiency.
The reliability and control precision of Suzuki's Electronic Technology (SPC) has been demonstrated over the years in its famous models ranging from 150 to 350 hp.
Improvements to Suzuki's new DF115BG / DF140BG outboards go far beyond the simple integration of electronic control technology. In fact, the optimized compression ratio of 10.6 / 1 allows these new 2.0-liter outboards to deliver higher maximum speed and better acceleration while improving thermal efficiency.
Fuel efficiency has also been optimized over the existing DF115 / DF140A models. Tests have shown a 5% to 7% improvement in fuel efficiency for the DF140BG over a medium to high speed range. The new DF115BG showed a 5-6% improvement in fuel efficiency at cruising speed.
The redesigned fairing also incorporates a new air intake structure with optimized water separation and a silencer - resonator system to reduce engine noise and provide a pleasant sailing experience at all revs.
To facilitate routine maintenance, Suzuki made it easy to replace the oil filter without removing the engine top cover. A new oil collector surrounding the oil filter holder also makes it easy to replace the filter. Suzuki also added an easy-access decanter fuel filter to protect the engine from dirty fuel.
The DF115BG / DF140BG will go into production in October 2020 as the 2021 model year.
In the near future, Suzuki will continue to offer the existing DF115A and DF140A 4-cylinder 4-stroke outboards alongside its new models.
